At Service Scaffold Company, we come to work every day because we want to help solve our customers’ most challenging construction needs. As a family owned and operated company we wear many hats – access specialists, project managers, mechanics, safety experts, sales representatives and more. Founded with scaffold in the name, we have grown from a scaffold rental business to a full-fledged supply house that serves contractors across the Tri-State area. Now a 3rd generation company with over 60 years of experience, we look forward to providing you with the service and knowledge it takes to get the job done.
The idea for Service Scaffold Company was born in 1956, when founder Mac Ingber, a general contractor, had bought scaffold for his own use and was receiving requests to borrow it. He was looking to phase out of contracting and decided to open a rental business. The company quickly began to grow from a scaffold rental venture to renting and selling various types of construction equipment and forklifts. They secured work at Monticello’s original Concord Resort and soon expanded across the Hudson Valley. Mac’s sons, Howard, Brian and Daniel (the company’s 2nd generation), added the shop, transit and locker installation divisions and 3rd generation owners, Cory, Josh, Sam & Zach, advanced Service Scaffold into New Jersey, Westchester, the Five Boroughs of New York City and Long Island.
